WHAT IS POC
Purchase of Care (POC) is a Federal Subsidy program that helps low-income families pay for their child care.
WHO IS ELIGABLE?
Parents or caretakers who meet income limits and can demonstrate a need for child care because of one of the following
​

Employment
-
Education (As it relates to Employment and Training rules for Food Benefit and/or TANF assistance)
-
Training
-
A client with a Medical Special Need
-
A Child with a Special Need
-
A DFS Referral
How Do The Parents Or Caretakers Become Eligible For POC?

They can go to nearest Division of Social Service (DSS) office and ask to3 speak to spmeone about childcare or contact the DE Helpline at 1800-464-4357 or call 211 for information about locations near them or apply online.

In addition to an application, proof of need for service and income will be needed.
